Feeling Irish

There is nothing better than feeling Irish around this time of the year. St Patrick's Day makes the whole world feel a certain level of Irishness. But when I think of being Irish, I tend to go back a bit in time. Before recessions and laptops and mobile phones, back when it was just us and our wonderful country.

Green grass, blue skies and thatched cottages.

Luckily, I live in a place that although is somewhat boring, is super pretty at the same time. Monasterevin is bursting with beautiful places to take pictures and to bring you back to the old feeling of being Irish. Our little town is surrounded by waterways, fields, farms, old distilleries, mansion houses, ruins, Georgian houses, woodlands, bogs and locks. Quite a lot for such a little place!

So over the past few days I have been out walking and enjoying these gorgeous sunny days with my camera and I present you with some pictures of my little town. This is what being Irish means to me.
